Greedo, fully revealed, enters an empty room. Before he can access the computer terminal, the Aqualish's bodyguards - led by a Skrilling - corners Greedo. They promise not to beat him up if he goes to Duro to hunt for the Aqualish's traitorous majordomo, a Red Nikto. If Greedo brings him back alive he gets paid. If he kills the Nikto, he doesn't get paid. If he fails both, the bruisers tell him they will beat him to a pulp if he returns to Mos Eisley.

Greedo, who tried to scam the freighter captain, is kicked out of the upon arrival at Duro. He gets the help of an R2-series astromech droid, promising to pay him for some data in the city's computer network. The droid informs him a Red Nikto matching the description of the traitor was reported going in and coming out of th city's sewer system.

Greedo, thinking the droid in a pushover, refuses to pay him. He zaps Greedo with his electroshock prod. Regaining his composure, he finds a way into the sewers. After some time searching, he comes face to face with a seated hooded figure.

The figure unhoods to reveal an old Rodian, a retired veteran bounty hunter. He tries to bestow some good advice to Greedo, who rejects them. The old Rodian suggests that taking the dark tunnel to find the Red Nikto's hidden lair, but being afraid of the dark, Greedo takes the other tunnel... which leads him to a lost Duros child.

Climbing out of the sewer with the child, Greedo is surrounded by an Imperial stormtrooper squad whose leader believes that Greedo is a kidnapper. But his explanation of the situation and bounty hunter license check out. As the kid is reunited with his parents, Greedo spots the traitorous Red Nikto on the street. Since he has a valid license, the troopers let him do his job.

The Red Nikto berates the inexperienced Greedo, telling him that he is an embarrassment to the Rodian species and the bounty hunter profession. He leaves, telling Greedo he probably doesn't have the guts to really capture him, or have the skill enough to use his blaster. After a moment's thought, Greedo intimidates the Nikto into surrendering by firing his blaster at him. But a shot hits the Nikto's chest.

The Nikto falls, and a thermal detonator rolls out of his open bag. The detonator is armed. Greedo runs, but the explosion incinerates the Nikto's body. Dazed, Greedo realizes that although he can now return to Mos Eisley without being beaten up, he wont get paid for the job. The Duros parents come to thank him for finding their child and offer him their gratitude.

"Yeah! If only gratitude can feed me." The dejected Greedo heads for the landing platforms to find a ship back to Tatooine.
