So these randomly-grabbed paper miniatures became the basis of actual NPCs during the game

SWD6: Deeper Undercity

Time is the Hunter Episode 03: Deeper Undercity Last time on Star Wars Time is the Hunter, a gunfight between bounty hunters accidentally activated a trio of Separatist BX commando droids from the Clone Wars. Malfunctioning, they began hunting for targets deep in the bowels of Spaceport Tower 214 on level Brown-212 in the Byblos system. The three rusty droids fanned out with vibroswords drawn, their joints sparked when they moved jerkily. “Kill all Republic clone troopers.” “Roger roger!” Jax Hunt hugged the debris-strewn floor behind the engine of a Y-wing fighter. Beside him, a fellow bounty hunter – the Nimbanel named Tulon Tash – lay injured and semi-conscious after being shot by a rival hunter. Meanwhile the furnace behind both bounty hunters illuminated the chamber of scrap metal and discarded technology with angry colours. Jax considered throwing one of the two grenades he was authorised to carry, but the […]

Paper minis with BACKS!

Paper Minis: Royal Guards and a Sheev

It’s been a while since I posted Star Wars RPG paper miniatures. So here is something that would break the silence: Imperial Royal Guards! The red armoured guards which was first introduced in Return of the Jedi. As a bonus, I’ve included Palpatine the nice and helpful former Senator from Naboo in the pack. He is such a pleasant fellow. I might have printed the ones in the photo wrong somehow. They came out too dark instead of bright red. And for the first time ever, my Star Wars paper minis have a back! Now you can actually turn the mini 180 degrees and tell your fellow players that the Royal Guard, or Palpatine, farts in their general direction. Hunter the pirate will need to fast talk his way out of this. Is Carnor Jax one of these guardsmen? Let’s just say yes. Click here to download and print these […]

Modesty Blazing Intro Video

While awaiting the next time I travel to Kuala Lumpur and by chance the GOKL group is free to congregate for a roleplaying session of Star Wars Edge of the Empire, I have created an intro video of our campaign Modesty Blazing, also using OpenShot Video Editor. Video making is fun. I should make more videos. The music is edited from “The Occupation of Balmorra” by Lennie Moore, Mark Griskey and Jesse Harlin for The Old Republic game and Kevin Kiner’s The Clone Wars track “Buzz Droids” from the episode “Sabotage”.

SWD6: Stalk the Lower Levels

Time is the Hunter Episode 02: Stalk the Lower Levels Last time on Time is the Hunter, Irfan played bounty hunter Jax Hunt who signed up with the Byblos chapter of the House Benelex Bounty Hunting Guild at Tower 214. Jax Hunt arrived the next day at Abbit Mowba‘s office. The signs of battle from when Jax saved Mr. Mowba from a disgruntled bounty hunter the previous day were still there. But Mowba seemed distracted. “Hi Mr. Mowba,” Jax greeted the Aqualish manager. “Jax,” he stuttered. “I… There seems to be a problem.” “What is it?” “There is a new mark. The bounty is right here on Byblos. In Byblos Spaceport Tower 214 itself. Way down dozens of levels in Brown-212. It’s a difficult mark. I sent three bounty hunters after the mark. They should have returned yesterday evening.” “I’ll take the bounty,” Jax exclaimed. “I usually do not send […]

Poe

Here then is Poe Dameron son of Kes Dameron and Shara Bey. I heard he has a very nice X-wing fighter. And he handles it well, too. Also, I heard yesterday was actor Oscar Isaac’s birthday. Happy birthday, Óscar Isaac Hernández Estrada!

Rey

Here is Rey from Star Wars the Force Awakens, reading some sort of manual. I have it on good authority that she is the biological daughter of the Millennium Falcon and the space slug called Grendel.

SWD6: Point of Entry

Time is the Hunter Episode 01: Point of Entry I figured it was time to return to the source from whence my interest of simulationist/narrativist tabletop games originated: Star Wars The Roleplaying Game once published by West End Games and run using the D6 system. It was the first RPG that I ran for Irfan once upon a time and we have never played it since. Irfan plays Jax Hunt, a young human bounty hunter who is on his way to get his House Benelex Bounty Hunters’ Guild membership card from an agent/broker in the Byblos system. Jax wears a flak jacket body armour, a Relby-k23 on his hip and a modified helmet to protect his head. After some decades living alone and scrounging in the streets, bottom feeding, Jax had decided to pursue a career as a bounty hunter. Perhaps someday he would even be able to catch the […]

Paper Minis: Rebel Commandos

We are now back in the Classic Trilogy era after a foray into The Force Awakens paper miniatures for an entry or four. Rebel Alliance’s SpecForce battalions are many. Among them are the SpecForce Pathfinders and SpecForce Infiltrators. A mixed SpecForce squad comprised the rebel commando strike team that sabotaged the Endor shield generator. So, if you need paper miniatures of these highly trained elite troopers, feel free to grab and print them from the link below. Download from Google Drive!

X-Wing: The Beginner’s Luck Gambit

Last Saturday night’s Star Wars X-Wing Miniature game turned out well. It was Ain’s first game ever so Irfan and I decided to make this a straight up dogfight. No extra cards, no obstacles, no missions. Just blast each other out of the sky with what you have. I played Darth Vader in the TIE Advanced. Irfan was Luke Skywalker in the T-65 X-wing fighter and Ain, to give her an edge over me, flew the YT-1300 freighter Millennium Falcon with the Han Solo card. It turned out that even with Darth Vader’s high initiative number, the Falcon was quite a powerhouse in combat. At first I ignored it and went after the X-wing. We both passed each other at full speed and did a dropkick Koiogran turn, while the Falcon seemed to be swerving out toward the edge of the battlemat. Suddenly she banked right back into the fray. […]

Paper Minis: Guavian Enforcers

The Guavian Death Gang could conceivably be your player characters’ generic criminal enemies in your RPG campaign. Don’t forget to take into account the Guavian Security Soldiers’ illegal cybernetics that boost their agility and strength while allowing them to network with each other using high-frequency datastreams as they fight your players. The Guavians carry either the Tostovin Munition percussion cannon or the micro-grenade launcher, but I did not draw any of them with the grenade launcher. Click here to download and assemble the Guavians for free from Google Drive.

Paper Minis: Resistance Soldiers

Ground troops and the fighter pilots of the Resistance! Underfunded, understaffed and far from resupply sources the General Leia Organa’s Resistance do what they can to fight the First Order in their own territory. The Resistance Troopers carry BlasTech EL-16HFE blaster rifles while the X-wing pilots are armed with the smaller Eirriss-Ryloth Defense Tech Glie-44 blaster pistols. Paper Minis: More First Order Stormtroopers

Perhaps I should continue with paperminis from The Force Awakens no? Here are a bunch of First Order Snowtroopers and Flametroopers for your tabletop use, should you even find yourself about thirty years after the Battle of Endor and shunted into the new canon timeline. The Flametroopers carry a D93w flame projector weapon around, just for fun and stuff. Click here to download and assemble the Snowtroopers and Flametroopers for free from Google Drive.

Paper Minis: First Order Stormtroopers

I’m sure someone will be wanting to run Star Wars RPG campaign set in The Force Awakens era, so here are the first of many paper miniatures to help you on your tabletop. Four of them carry the Sonn-Blas F-11D blaster rifle, another four the Sonn-Blas SE-44D blaster pistol and the final four are the wielders of the Z6 riot control baton, which is different from the Z-6 rotary blaster. Or you could just use them to represent any mook in any RPG, they’re only made of paper and it is after all the theatre of the mind. Click here to download the PDF from Google Drive for printing and assembling!
