SWD6: Rebel Breakout

Strikeforce Enteague Episode 02 Rebel Breakout After the first solo session that introduced Bounty Hunter Shanna Toarinar into the campaign, I ran a session for a larger group of players using the adventure included in West End Games’ Star Wars The Roleplaying Game rule book, entitled Rebel Breakout. I thought it amazing that the group consisted of players from my class as well as players a year and two years younger from different classes from school. Everyone was new at RPGs! A group consisting of Phoenix Avalon the pirate, Ace Browning Crossfire the bounty hunter, Phix an alien student of the Force (retroactively considered to be of Revwien species), Yoat Den the mercenary and Ben One-Howel an minor Jedi rendezvous at Mesa 291, an abandoned lidium mine on Bothan’s Planet, to meet with Tiree, a rebel recruitment agent. However, Tiree was nowhere to be found, but they discovered the droid […]

Old Sketches for Star Wars Adventures

I would very much like to say that these are some of the oldest illustrations I have drawn to be used for Star Wars RPG (to be precise the Strikeforce Enteague campaign), but they are not. These were drawn in the mid-90s when I was running the “second season” of the campaign, so to speak, after I returned from my studies. Regarding these illustrations: it occurred to me that I could fold a single A4 piece of paper into 8 sections and draw characters, scenes and computer displays that I have planned to appear in the session. Note that not all of these were ultimately used in a session. Click on each thumbnail to view the full image. This was the first session I ran upon coming home. I was lounging around at home when a bunch of youngsters – still in lower secondary school – accosted me at my […]

Strikeforce Enteague The Movie?

Once upon a time, Shanna Toarinar the bounty hunter stole a captured A-Wing Fighter from the Empire. Soon after, she was recruited to be the first member of the Strikeforce Enteague. Thus begins the Star Wars RPG campaign – using West End Games’s D6 system – that lasted for 10 years in real time as well as game time. Today Lucasfilm released a cast photo of their new Star Wars film: Strikeforce Enteague the Movie*. With Felicity Jones as Shanna Toarinar, Diego Luna as Ace Browning Crossfire and Donnie Yen as Ben-One-Howel. Download the Worlds of the Enteague Sector D6 pdf supplement that I made here! * Sigh. I wish. Sigh. But seriously, doesn’t the Rogue One cast photo looks like someone’s Star Wars D6 (or an Age of Rebellion) rebel commando party? Sigh**. **Siiigh!!! (Just in case this needs to be said: Yes, that is a promotional photo from […]

SWD6: Our First RPG Session Ever

Strikeforce Enteague Episode 01 Trial Run It was way back in 1989 when I received my first tabletop RPG, the first edition Star Wars The Roleplaying Game and the Star Wars Sourcebook by West End Games. I read through the rules and thought, let’s try this out. I didn’t even start with “Rebel Breakout”, the introductory adventure that came in the book. I took a school exercise book and created a maze of corridors and rooms and thought, “Okay, this’ll make a great Imperial space station interior.” Actually the map wouldn’t make a lick of sense as a military installation, but it was my first try. Sila decided to be a bounty hunter and rolled up a player character whom she named Shanna Toarinar, and she went on to play Shanna for another ten years in realtime thereafter. And the campaign would go on for many years until I was […]

Strikeforce Enteague: The Pioneer Team

Once upon a time I had a Geocities Page, where upon I uploaded a lot of Star Wars artwork. Soon the plug will be pulled on Geocities, so a link there from here is a futile gesture. However, there are a bunch of drawings of my first ever Strikeforce Enteague campaign character for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game from back in 1989. The game started in 1989, but these drawings are from 2001 – 2002, by the way. I thought I’d upload them on here for posterity’s sake. (Note: this is not every player character of that era. Someday, I’ll get around to drawing everyone.) Players, you know who you are.   Later additions to the pioneer team…

Worlds of the Enteague Sector

In 1989, my father bought me two books that started me into Star Wars role playing game: West End Games’ Star Wars The Roleplaying Game rulebook and the Star Wars Sourcebook. My first campaign (and the longest I gamemastered) was my “Strikeforce Enteague” campaign. The players were characters of a Rebel Alliance strike team that consisted of mostly fringer types, and it took place in a sector of the galaxy I created I ultimately named the Enteague Sector (thought sometimes their adventures took them as far as Coruscant which at that time was only referred to as Imperial City.) Here I am 16 years later, and I’ve finally finished a project I started almost 2 years ago: a pdf mini-sourcebook formatted for the SWRPG called Worlds of the Enteague Sector. It’s not extensive as WEG‘s The Planets Collection or WOTC‘s Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds. There is a front […]
