During my MASAGA 2024 talk I ran a demo session of Mini Six RPG for the attendees. This was the first time I ran a game for a huge group that were not my colleagues, people I previously knew or my students. Being a mix of educators, trainers and researchers, they had a lot of valuable feedback for me to improve my presentation in the future, especially for professionals.
I’d bring more books besides The One Ring, Cortex Prime and TimeWatch if I could
There were 8 tables, so each table controlled a character. I admit it was difficult to communicate with everyone because of the expansive room.
No matter, I tried my best to gamemaster the session. I only had 30 minutes, so it’s a short one.

The Egypt Interception

Team Accordia was a team of eight secret agents who were tasked with solving international problems. Their base was located in Japan.

Their commanding officer called them to the briefing room. Commander Haji informed them that a nuclear warhead was stolen from the United States and they have asked Team Accordia to retrieve the warhead. According to Agent Brodie, the warhead has been taken to Alexandria, Egypt.
At first, Agent Alamanda tried to ask a favour from the Prime Minister of Malaysia (using Diplomacy), but they failed. So they bought commercial airline tickets from Tokyo to Cairo.
Meanwhile, Agent Screw requisitioned the use of a Hummer H3 which was also sent to Cairo.
En route, the team discussed about their personal histories. Agent Mystique told them that in the past, her family maid was murdered. Agent 007 also volunteered that he lost his parents at a young age.
I will need more experience to handle a large group in a huge room
After 8 hours, they arrive at Cairo International Airport in Heliopolis. The team looked for Agent Brodie who would be waiting for them at the airport. Brodie would be wearing a purple flower on his jacket.
They spotted a man with such a purple flower – an orchid. But before approaching him, 007 tried confirm his identification by sneaking in close but he failed, being unfamiliar with Agent Brodie.
Then Agent Mahsa used their laptop with encrypted satellite connection. It was apparent that the man was NOT Agent Brodie. He was there to draw out Team Accordia!
Agent Manga Jr. was about to draw his weapon and attack the fake agent, but then a woman appeared at his side. She kissed him.
Agent Mystique was horrified. It was her murdered maid — still alive? How?
Was she behind the theft of the nuclear warhead?
