February was another crazy busy month. I traveled (without Vin and the kids) 2 out of the 4 weeks of the month. In fact, I’m writing this entry so late that it’s almost April now and I’m only just writing the February entry. Since this entry is being written so late, I will keep it brief.

Despite the craziness that was my life, Vin and the kids had a pretty quiet month. They got to stay home and be normal, and we all learned how to enjoy FaceTime and cope with time differences and distance. Yaya did very well during my absences, it’s a little sad for me to realize that my little baby girl is growing up and getting independent. She does enjoy the bribes that accompany me (and my suitcase) upon my return from these work trips though.

Food status: Nothing new. Bah, humbug.

Reading status: Going well! Yaya is much more enthusiastic about reading and writing and can sometimes be found reading a book or a magazine all by herself! Go Yaya!

And now to the pictures of how Yaya spent the month. We start with the playing in the snow photos (much of February was way below freezing with a fair amount of snow that stayed around for a while):

Yaya had her follow up appointment with the eye doctor:

Yaya passed with flying colors! She is responding so well to the new glasses that she will not need any additional updates to their prescription, nor any other remediation or therapy to correct her accomodative esotropia. The doctor has confirmed that when she is wearing her glasses (which she does every waking moment, to the point of forgetting to take them off at bedtime some nights), her left eye no longer wanders and keeps in sync with her right eye. Yay!

Now here are more pictures of Yaya and her brother enjoying each other’s company:
